Visitors to Banff National Park are required to pay a user fee: Entry fees are charged at most national parks and national historic sites. Most of the money raised through admission fees remains in the particular park or site where it is collected. This means, that every time you visit a park or site you are investing in its future and in a legacy for future generations.
- $8.80 CDN per day for an Adult (annual $61.80 CDN)
- $17.60 CDN per day per group/family (annual $154.00 CDN) (2-10
people)
- Anyone using a rental car should be prepared to pay for this fee.
- If they do not and they get caught in the Park they will be required to buy a pass.
- Anyone using buses or the Airporter Shuttle from the Airport to Banff can purchase their park passes in the airport or through the Airporter Shuttle driver

How long is the trip from Calgary Airport to Banff and Lake Louise?
The trip is approximately 1 1/2 hours to Banff and 2 hours to Lake Louise.
Can visitors pay with U.S. dollars at the resorts and shops?
Yes, all businesses accept U.S. dollars. To receive the
best rate of exchange, it is better to exchange U.S. dollars,
and all other currencies, at the banks or Currency Exchanges in
Banff. Using your credit card will also allow you to receive
the prime rate of exchange.
When do the lifts operate at each of the resorts?
All lifts are open from 9 AM to 4 PM daily. Extended hours for Spring skiing start in April.
Is there night skiing in the area?
Yes, Ski Norquay offers night skiing Friday nights.
One free night ski is included with the Tri-area multi-day ticket.
Do skiers have to use the 3-area lift pass on consecutive days?
No, grace days are added to tickets; a 3 day pass is valid for 3 out of 4 days, a 5 day pass is valid for 5 out of 7 days. Please visit our Lift Ticket page for more information.
