Big Mountain Challenge arrives at Lake Louise Mountain Resort
$7,500 cash purse and prizing up for grabs

Calgary, AB - The final stop of the RCR Freeski series will roll into Lake Louise Mountain Resort on March 8th and 9th. The Juniors (ages 7-17) will take on Lake Louise's Steeps in the Snickers Junior Big Mountain Challenge, presented by Rossignol, on March 8th and 9th while the adults will compete in the Smith Optics Big Mountain Challenge, powered by Volkswagen, taking place March 12-16.

Registration for the Junior event is now closed, as they have reached their capacity of 100 competitors, but spectators are encouraged to watch and cheer on the competitors in this exciting event.

For the Senior event Lake Louise Mountain Resort will show off its epic Powder Bowls for the fifth annual Big Mountain Challenge, taking place March 12-16. Competitors from across North America are expected to take part in this multi-day event. The event starts with Registration and a Venue Inspection on Wednesday March 12th, a Qualifying Round on Thursday, Semi-Final Round on Friday, and the Final Round, Awards ceremony, and Wrap-up Party on Saturday, March 15th. Sunday is held as a weather day.

Competitors will be judged in five categories: Line, Aggressiveness, Control, Technique, and Fluidity. Prizing will include a $7,500 cash purse, and gear from Smith Optics, Rossignol, Fresh, Helly Hansen, Appleton's, Old Dutch, Planet Foods, and Snickers.
